TROUBLESHOOTING NOTE

Duplicate brand in a page title: fix the title template

Updated

A title such as Brand — Page — Brand often combines a page title with a site-wide template that appends the brand again. Inspect the final HTML, not just the editor field.

Find both title sources

Compare your page title setting with the layout or CMS title template. Choose one place to append the brand. LabPuff detects repeated separated segments; it does not detect every possible duplicate phrase.

Write for the reader

Describe the page distinctly and keep branding concise. Character counts are editorial hints, not ranking requirements; display width and language affect truncation. Google can choose a different title link.

Check more than one page

Inspect the homepage, an article and a tool page after changing a shared template. Confirm their titles are distinct. Review search results later, allowing time for recrawling; the static report cannot predict the displayed title.
